Janka LivoncovaJanka Livoncova
Janka is a 500 RYT registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance. She has been practicing meditation and yoga for 14 years, and teaching for 6. In 2005, she completed her 200 hour teacher training with Stephanie Keach in Asheville, NC, and in 2009 completed her 500 hour level with Mary Paffard in CA. Her style is also influenced by the teachings of Angela Farmer and Vanda Scaravelli, with an emphasis on grounding and undoing the central channel and belly. She is also currently studying meditation and Buddhism with Daeja Napier.

"My interest in the work of Vanda Scaravelli was sparked about 6 years ago when I read an article in Yoga International, 'When movement becomes meditation: The Legacy of Vanda Scaravelli.' Vanda wrote in her book Awakening the Spine, that "There is a way of doing yoga poses that we call 'asanas' without slightest effort." When I met her long time student Diane Long, she embodied that and more. I was stunned by her fluidity of movement and her quiet, relaxed strength. I want to thank my mentor Mary Paffard. It's through her teachings and support that my practice has been transforming into an effortless, meditative experience, and that is what I would like to offer and share in my classes."

"I would also like to thank Sue Reynolds, of ClearSpring Yoga, for seeing a teacher in me, and for all the support and encouragement she has given me."

In our yoga classes we will co-create a fun and very active environment with the children that allows them to begin to learn basic yoga poses along with some anatomy, biology, and nutrition. I want the children to have fun, and also learn some techniques for dealing with emotions like fear and anger. I love to sing, and chanting and yoga songs will also be part of each class.”
